Blast

A few months ago, my doctor told me that during strenuous exercise it is biochemically impossible to experience stress. This morning I put that to the test. After 3 hours at the gym (1.5 on the treadmill, 1.5 weights) I can report that this is either not the case or among the various emtions I am experiencing, stress is not a major player. When my heart was up at just over 200 bpm, I felt like I was going to collapse and die right there on the floor, but it did nothing to change my emotional state.

So that sucks.

  1. Blast, indeed. Sorry to hear it, John. You must have a lot on your mind… let\’s talk.

  2. vacation in rome. its truly fantastic. that will take your mind of other things. sneak it in for two weeks between chemo appointments.

  3. Hi John,If I exercised such that my heart was at 200 bmp, my heart would be like, "Sorry dude, we are not going to do this, let\’s get ice cream or something," and then I would be like, "Ok heart, you have a point, I don\’t know what I was thinking."If you want to de-stress, you should consider hiring a Feng Shui consultant to come over and Feng Shui your whole apartment. I have been reading Feng Shui books recently and my house is becoming an island of relaxation.PS – I\’m coming to visit soon!
