I saw the dentist yesterday for the first time in about 10 years. I finally had too many dreams about my teeth rotting out of my head to ignore.
Result: I have 1 baby tooth left and it has a cavity. Otherwise I’m just fine. 28 years and still no permanent teeth with cavities. The dentist said I have "genetically lucky teeth". Fantastic. I’m going to go back in in a few days for a cleaning and a filling in that baby tooth.
how is it possible that you still have a baby tooth and that I had FIVE wisdom teeth?!! No cavities is miraculous, you must tell us what your secret is…daily rinsing with fluoride? A sonicare? Constant flossing?
My dentist asked me that, too. He thought I must floss. I had to tell him that I never did. He said he guessed I could get away with it till now, but as I get older I really should start. As for my secret, I don\’t really have one. For most of the 10 years I brushed my teeth with an ordinary (and usually too old) toothbrush twice a day for about 20 seconds each time with no real care but to freshen my breath. I have used Crest forever. Maybe that\’s the trick.
