X-Men: The Last Stand

This past Saturday Will gave me 3 passes for 2 to see X3. So yesterday, Heather, Vick, Geeven, Karthik, Spivey and I all went to see it at Pacific Place.

I don’t want to give out spoilers, but let me say this: you should see this movie. And not just because I’m a Marvel shareholder. It was really very good. All six of us liked it a lot. Because of my memory, I can’t say for certain whether it was better than the first two or not, but it most definitely may have been.

I’m definitely going to see it again in a while — once I have time to forget some of the details.

So thanks, Will! The movie was awesome!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I’m not 100% sure what to catagorize this under. But in any event, we had breakfast at Tiffany’s this Sunday morning. It was pretty clearly a girl’s dream. Very strange indeed. It had no allure for boys, but the girls there were just loving it. Mimosas and tasty little pastries, champagne, cakes frosted to look like tiffany’s boxes. And to top it off, famous ballerinas from Seattle’s Pacific Northwest Ballet. Apparently, one of them was quite famous if you follow that sort of thing.

So while drinking mimosas, eating pastries, and hanging out with famous ballerinas, the girls tried on hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Huge rings, necklaces, etc. Apparently, this is a very appealing thing to do for girls.

Anyway, it was good to see people so happy.

After the event, we went to the University District Fair, which was really pretty fun. They had something there called a sweet Johnnycake, so obviously I tried that. It was really very good. Reminded me alot of a beignet.

Will the comic book guy gave Vick and me 3 passes for 2 to tonight’s sneak peek of X-Men 3. So that’s cool. I’m going to head out of work early and work from Pacific Place while waiting in line (good thing there’s WiFi there).
